What is a Halbach Array magnet?
A Halbach Array magnet is a specific configuration of permanent magnets that follows the principles of a Halbach array.The key feature of a Kings‘s Halbach Array magnet is the specific arrangement of magnets with alternating orientations. The magnets are positioned in such a way that their magnetic moments reinforce each other on one side and cancel each other out on the other side. This results in a focused and intensified magnetic field on the "active" side and a significantly weakened field on the "inactive" side.(as figure below)
